Happy Thanksgiving Day (October 10, 2005) to all of our fellow Canadians …
We’re celebrating our annual “Turkey Fest” tonight .. Sunday .. at my folks place .. Food should be good and plentiful!
Hope I don’t go over budget on my food point count … like last week … 🙁 (See next entry)
There are things that we all can do to keep the points down and not be a slave to our diet ..
* Know what the points are in advance
* Snack before dinner, and don’t think it’s like an All-U-Can Eat restaurant trip
For me .. I’m going to concentrate on:
* Salad – I hope it will be under 3 points (all I can eat.. not sure yet)
* Turkey – 2 points per slice
* 1/4 cup giblet gravy – 2 points
* stuffing – 4 points per slice
* Pumpkin Pie – 9 points per slice
* Apple Pie – 9 points per slice
Yup .. 29 points tonight, and go into my weekly flex bonus points … let’s see how I do! I’ll comment back again tomorrow.
I did pretty good Sunday for our Thanksgiving Dinner … Including Pie(s) and a good healthy portion of practically everything … I was only 13 points into my weekly Flex Point Alotment … WooHoo!
